Your privacy matters to us. This page explains, in plain terms, what data sokoloco.gg collects, why, and what rights you have over it. For the rules of using the Site itself, see our Terms and Conditions.
This Privacy Policy explains how sokoloco.gg (the "Site", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects the personal data of its Users. It covers what data we collect, how we process it, and the choices you have over it. This policy applies to sokoloco.gg and any associated subdomains, alongside the Terms and Conditions.
The Owner and Data Controller of sokoloco.gg can be contacted by email at [email protected].
We may collect the following categories of personal data: • Account data — your Kick username, Kick user ID, and public profile details provided by Kick when you log in. • Usage data — pages visited, features used, in-app activity such as game history, points balances, and orders placed in the Store. • Communications data — chat messages sent through the Site's chat feature, and any messages you send us directly (e.g. support requests). • Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information, and similar data collected automatically when you use the Site. We do not collect payment card details or process real-money transactions of any kind — no real money is handled anywhere on the Site.
We process personal data using standard IT tools and hosting infrastructure, following reasonable organizational and technical measures appropriate to the purposes described in this policy. Some processing is carried out by third-party service providers acting as Data Processors on our behalf (for example, hosting and infrastructure providers, and Kick as our authentication provider). You are responsible for any third-party personal data you share while using the Site (for example, in chat messages).
We process personal data where at least one of the following applies: • You have given consent (e.g. for optional cookies/trackers); • Processing is necessary to provide the Service you requested (e.g. maintaining your account and points balance); • Processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation; • Processing is necessary for our legitimate interests, such as keeping the Site secure and preventing abuse or fraud.
Data is processed at our operating locations and at the locations of the third-party service providers we use for hosting and infrastructure, which may be located outside your country of residence. Where such transfers occur, we take reasonable steps to ensure your data continues to be protected in line with this policy.
We retain personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy — for example, for as long as your account remains active — unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 12).
We collect and process personal data to: • Provide and maintain the Site and its features (accounts, points, Store, SokoPlay, leaderboards, chat); • Authenticate you via Kick and keep your session secure; • Operate giveaways, challenges, and reward redemptions; • Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms and Conditions; • Comply with applicable legal obligations; • Understand how the Site is used so we can maintain and improve it.
We rely on a small number of third-party services to operate the Site, including: • Kick — for account authentication and login; • Hosting and infrastructure providers — to run and serve the Site; • Analytics-style tooling, where used, to understand aggregate Site usage. These providers may process personal data on our behalf as Data Processors, subject to their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.
sokoloco.gg uses your browser's localStorage to remember things like your login session, cookie consent choices, sound settings, sidebar layout, and dismissed notices, so you don't have to reconfigure them on every visit. This data is stored directly in your browser and is not automatically expired by us. For a full breakdown of the cookies and trackers used on the Site and how to manage your preferences, see the cookie consent banner shown on the Site, and Section 3 (Data Communicated) referenced in our Terms and Conditions.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to: • Withdraw consent you previously gave, at any time; • Object to processing of your data in certain circumstances; • Access the data we hold about you and how it's processed; • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data; • Request restriction of processing in certain circumstances; • Request erasure of your data, subject to legal exceptions; • Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format; • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
You can exercise any of the rights above by contacting us at [email protected]. To protect your data, we may need to verify your identity before actioning a request. We aim to respond to all requests promptly, and in any event within the timeframes required by applicable law.
13.1 Legal action — Personal data may be used to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, including disclosure in court or administrative proceedings where required. 13.2 System logs and maintenance — For operation and security purposes, we may collect logs recording interactions with the Site and technical events (e.g. errors), and retain them for maintenance and security purposes. 13.3 Information not covered here — If you have questions about data collection or processing not addressed in this policy, contact us at [email protected] and we'll be happy to clarify.
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you additional rights over the personal information we collect, summarized below. Categories collected: identifiers (such as your Kick username/ID) and internet/technical information (such as IP address and browser data), collected directly from you or automatically as you use the Site. How we use it: for the operational and business purposes described in Section 8 of this policy, and to comply with the law. We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration; to the extent any sharing could be considered a "sale" or "share" under the CCPA, you may opt out at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. Your rights: you may request to know what personal information we hold about you and how it's used and shared, request deletion of that information (subject to legal exceptions), and opt out of any sale or sharing of it. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To exercise these rights, submit a verifiable request via [email protected] with enough detail for us to reasonably confirm your identity and understand your request. We will acknowledge receipt within 10 days and respond within 45 days (extendable once, by up to 45 additional days, with notice), covering the preceding 12-month period. A parent or legal guardian may submit a request on behalf of a minor, and an authorized agent may submit one on your behalf where permitted by law.
If you reside in Brazil, the "Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados" (LGPD) gives you the right to: confirm whether we process your personal data; access that data; correct incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated data; request anonymization, blocking, or deletion of unnecessary or excessive data, or data processed in violation of the LGPD; be informed about the possibility of denying consent and the consequences of doing so; know which third parties we share your data with; request portability of your data (except anonymized data) to another provider, subject to our commercial/industrial secrets; request deletion of data processed on the basis of your consent, subject to LGPD exceptions; revoke your consent at any time; lodge a complaint with the ANPD or a consumer protection body; object to non-compliant processing; and request review of decisions based solely on automated processing that affect you. You will not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. You (or your legal representative) can exercise them free of charge at any time by contacting us at [email protected]. We will strive to respond promptly; if we're unable to fulfil a request, we'll explain why, and where relevant, direct you to whoever is able to help. We only transfer personal data outside Brazil in the situations expressly permitted by the LGPD, such as international legal cooperation, protecting your life or physical safety, ANPD authorization, an international cooperation commitment, execution of public policy, or compliance with a legal or contractual obligation.
